Female Veterans Grant and Per Diem Program at Hope Center

VA's Grant and Per Diem (GPD) by the Department of Veterans Affairs on August 24, 2021 announced a $1,046,610 Grant Award to the Delaware Center for Homeless Veterans, Inc (DCHV) to fund DCHV housing and services to Female Veterans experiencing homelessness.

DCHV is providing housing to homeless Female Veterans through our partnership with the New Castle County Hope Center.

The purpose of the transitional housing component of the program is to promote the development and provision of supportive housing and services with the goal of helping homeless Female Veterans achieve residential stability, increase their skill levels and/or income, and obtain greater self-determination.

We have a full range of support and resources

Each Female Veteran in our program has their own hotel suite and is able to utilize the other services offered by the Hope Center and it’s other community-based nonprofit partners for a full one-stop-shop of services.
