The Delaware Center for Homeless Veterans was founded on the belief that Veterans' needs are of the utmost importance.
Our Mission
Our mission centers around two main goals-- housing and supportive services.
Our housing goal is to provide safe, affordable housing coupled with supportive services for each Veteran in need. Our supportive services goal is to reintegrate, educate, empower and advocate for homeless Veterans and their families who are at-risk of homelessness, while simultaneously strengthening the impact of other community-based organizations.
By providing housing first and ending the cycle of homelessness for a Veteran and supplying them with supportive services that they themselves identify as needed to combat future homelessness, we are able to fully support their long-term goals of obtaining recovery, economic self-sufficiency, independence, and community reintegration.
